Badak LNG Provides School Supplies and Household Goods to Communities Affected by the Earthquake in Sigi

Badak LNG delivered humanitarian aid to communities affected by the earthquake in Nokilalaki Subdistrict, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi. The aid was handed over on Thursday (August 13, 2026) at the Nokilalaki Subdistrict Office.

This aid is focused on supporting the recovery of residents’ lives following the earthquake that struck Sigi Regency on June 16, 2026. The disaster caused damage to thousands of homes as well as various educational facilities, necessitating ongoing assistance through the current recovery period.

The support provided includes household essentials such as mattresses and gas stoves. In addition, the company also distributed school supply kits consisting of backpacks for elementary school children, complete with writing utensils. This aid program is an expression of empathy and concern from Badak LNG’s management to share with communities affected by the disaster, including those in Sigi Regency. The goal is to help residents resume their daily activities and ensure that children’s education continues in the affected areas.

In distributing this aid, Badak LNG coordinated and collaborated with the Sigi Regency Social Services Office to ensure the assistance reached the intended recipients. As a result, all aid distributed was precisely targeted and aligned with the urgent needs of the local community.

All aid was handed over directly by Badak LNG’s Internal & External Relations Supervisor, Syuhril, as a demonstration of the company’s commitment to ensuring that support reaches beneficiaries transparently. He explained that this initiative reflects a spirit of care and solidarity among fellow citizens as they navigate the post-disaster recovery period.

“This support is intended to help meet the residents’ needs and ensure the continuity of children’s education in Nokilalaki Subdistrict. We hope that the aid provided can ease the burden on the affected communities,” he said.

The Sigi Regency Government, through the Social Services Agency and Nokilalaki Subdistrict officials, welcomed the social support demonstrated by Badak LNG. This compassionate response also reflects the Company’s efforts to be present to strengthen and support one another.
